These terms govern your use of Cíos, a service for landlords and their tenants to manage tenancies, rent, receipts and documents. Cíos is operated by Meitheal Technology ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Cíos lets landlords record properties, tenancies, rent and expenses, issue receipts and share documents, and lets tenants see their own tenancy, pay rent and receive receipts. Specific features depend on the plan in use and may change over time. Cíos is a record keeping and administration tool. It is not legal, tax or financial advice, and you remain responsible for meeting your own legal and tax obligations.
You must give accurate account information and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Accounts are for the person or business they are created for, and you must have the authority to enter the data you add, including data about tenants or other people.
You agree not to misuse the service: no unlawful use, no attempt to access data that is not yours, no interference with the service's operation or security, and no use that infringes the rights of others. You must only upload data you are entitled to process.
Connecting a bank account is optional. If you choose to connect one, you authorise us, through our licensed open banking provider, to retrieve your account and transaction information on a read only basis, solely to reconcile rent, and only after you consent in your bank's own interface. Cíos cannot move money or initiate payments through this connection. You can disconnect at any time, and the connection also expires on the schedule set by your bank. How this data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.
Some features require a paid plan. Where payments are taken, they are processed by Stripe, and the plan, price and billing period shown at the time apply. Unless stated otherwise, charges already incurred are not refundable, and you can stop a plan from renewing before the next period begins.
The data you add to Cíos remains yours. You grant us only the permission needed to host and process it so we can provide the service to you, as set out in the Privacy Policy. You can export or request deletion of your data as described there.
We work to keep Cíos available and accurate, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error free, or that any figure it produces is correct for your circumstances. You should check important figures before relying on them.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, data or goodwill arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access where these terms are breached or where we are required to by law. On termination, the data handling described in the Privacy Policy continues to apply.
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
We may update these terms as the service or the law changes. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
For any question about these terms, contact Meitheal Technology at meitheal@meithealtech.ie.
